Negative Press?

What a busy period August has been and being The Wiccan Lady this year was not for the faint hearted, I am happy to be having a paperwork day today and to be able to catch up with emails, blog and facebook posts.

Although I am not a conspiracy theorist what so ever, but I do often wonder about the joys of “World News” and the like, all that negative and brain numbing information that is swilled around the TV and radio day after day and how many peoples lives are changed by what they hear?

If somebody sat you down twice a day and told you that you weren’t good enough, how long would it take for you to believe it? 1 time, 2 days, a week, a month? I don’t know, but you would believe it at some point, so why do we put ourselves through the trauma of having somebody tell us several times a day that the country is in crisis, nobody has any money, immigrants are ruining the country, etc etc etc.

We live in greedy times and this will be true for some people, but that has never changed, it makes up every population in the world, there will always those who have more than others, those who do not worry about money at all and those who count the pennies to feed their children. That is life, it is no different now than 50 years ago, 100 years ago, 200 years ago.

So how about deciding what you watch and listen to and allowing everything else to just pass you by. Why fill your space with doom and gloom, we all know there are major wars in the world , that are wrong and innocent people are dying in the process , we all know that many world leaders are corrupt and taking from their own people, we all know we are probably the closest to another World War than we have ever been before, so why do we continue to punish ourselves by sitting once, twice or even three times a day in front of the TV and allowing our minds to be filled with this negative information.

We create our own dis-ease, which leads to disease and that starts the process all over again - Do you know how many people are suffering from anxiety in the UK???????????? Tell people something long enough and they will believe.

When was the last time you heard the news reader saying , today is going to be fabulous weather, turn off your TV now and go out into the woods, hug a tree, smile at a stranger, talk to your neighbour? What if you went out for a walk in the woods or a park on your own, left your phone at home and just really enjoyed the peace and the nature around you? That is what stops anxiety, not being fed negative info all day everyday.

Help yourself and allow yourself to grow - mentally, spiritually and as a person who can make up their own mind what information they need to see and how often. It isn’t shying away from what is happening in the world, it is taking responsibility for your own health and feelings.

Enjoy your weekend witchy people and get out in nature and put a smile on someone else’s face as well as your own. Take happiness and joy everytime. Blessed Be x
