Another Busy Month at Wiccan Lady HQ #174

September News!

Well, I’ve been a bad blogger during September, I admit it.

What a month it has been, I was busy creating a new course at the beginning of the month, I taught 9 reiki courses, several other courses, a large Mind, Body, Spirit event in Harrogate which was the busiest I had been in years, then had 3 witches school initiations to do, which then turned into 5 initiations due to students personal circumstances. I had to make and decorate 11 besoms (bleeding and burnt fingers included). I ran a Mabon and New moon retreat at Burn Hall Hotel which took lots of arranging and adaptations due to health issues with students, dietary requests, craft items not arriving when they should have and a general feeling of exhaustion on my part.

The retreat ran from Friday till Tuesday, with those taking part arriving on Saturday, we did a new moon ritual in the woods and were interrupted by a spirit called Harold, the following day we did a Mabon ritual in the woods and were interrupted by a French church goer who wandered into our ritual space by mistake, she wasn’t happy to see us in all our witchy regalia and quickened her pace back to the hotel shouting “Sorcery” in a beautiful if not slightly frantic French accent.

On the Tuesday after Mabon, I set off home, emptied my car of all the boxes of craft items and swapped over suitcases before driving straight to the airport and flying to Sofia to work for 5 days, another hectic but fabulous few days, out from the hotel at 8.30am and not getting back till sometimes 11.30pm, but what a few days they were.

On the flight home, I was day dreaming about sleeping in my own bed, all the amazing people I had met in Sofia and how the event would really push my business forward, but those dreams temporarily stalled when I walked through my house door to find 2 big holes in the wall at the front of the house.

If I had any energy left, I think I may have cried, but instead I made a couple of phone calls, Mr Wiccan Lady cleaned up the rubble, we moved the broken bookcase, wiped down my very expensive antique herbal and magic books and then laughed about it with a glass of wine.

Although there had been a couple of breakages on the bookcase, the items that meant the most to me, the books my son and husband had bought me out of love, the family photos on the shelves and little gifts students had bought me were all intact. Nobody had died and no intruders had been in the house and taken our intimate and loved items. So laugh it was.

The wall is being fixed tomorrow, the bookcase has been mended and all is good in the Wiccan Lady HQ once more.

I often wonder why people look so sad all the time, I laughed so much in September and this month has already been the same, some of my students are so funny and it reminds me that each dopamine hit creates a wonderful vibration of energy that ripples around the world, so even when ‘stuff’ is tough, find something to laugh about, the World isn’t all sad, there are beautiful moments of joy all around you if you just open your eyes and look for them.

(If you can’t be bothered to open you eyes, I do sell dopamine bells in my store!!)

Have a fabulous Sunday and keep smiling. :)
