Garlic (Wild)

Wild garlic grows profusely all around Britain, so why not use this amazing herb for it’s health benefits and dietary needs, this delightful plant is also known as Ransoms. Did you know that it has far more health benefits than its domesticated cousin the garlic we buy in shops?

It is rich in vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and copper. It also contains organosulphur compounds, phenolic compounds, steroidal glycosides, lectins, and a variety of essential amino acids, which all go towards making it a perfect meal option.

Wild garlic has been shown to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a natural remedy for various ailments such as colds, flu, and digestive issues. It is believed to help lower blood pressure and improve cardiovascular health, thereby reducing the risk of stroke and heart disease and newer research has looked at it also having antiviral properties. Interestingly, wild garlic is thought to be the most effective at lowering blood pressure of any of the garlic family.
